  • 1 cup bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1½ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon vital wheat gluten

Instructions

  • Add the warm water, honey, and olive oil to the bread machine pan.
  • Layer the spelt flour, bread flour, vital wheat gluten, and salt over the liquids.
  • Make a small well in the flour and add the yeast.
  • Select the Whole Wheat cycle.
  • Let the bread machine complete the entire kneading, rising, and baking process.
  • Remove the loaf carefully from the pan.
  • Cool completely before slicing.

This spelt bread is soft, wholesome, and full of nutty flavor.

It is perfect for healthy sandwiches, breakfast toast, or everyday meals.

Store tightly wrapped after cooling.
